We are excited to announce the release of the 10th volume of Research on Chrysomelidae (RoC10), which was published in September of 2025. This volume was born at the International Symposium on the Chrysomelidae during the International Congress of Entomology in Kyoto Japan in August of 2024. It continues the legacy started by Pierre Jolivet (1922-2020),whose vision launched the RoC series in 2008. As RoC3, Pensoft Publishers have been a valuable partner in preparing and publishing these special issues in ZooKeys.

ICE Kyoto was the largest entomological event since the pandemic, drawing over 4,000 participants wiht more than 1,000 from Japan. The symposium provided young Japanese researchers with a rare prospect to engage with global experts who share thier passion for the stunning leaf beetle family.

RoC10 brings together new research in biology and systematics from contributors around the world. This volume includes scientific papers as well as historical articles written by emerging students, seasoned experts, and interdisciplinary teams. Topics cover taxonomy, morphology, ecology, pest management, and historical perspectives.
After co-editing 12 volumes – including 10 RoC editions - Michael Schmitt is stepping down from the editorial board. He is passing the torch to new and younger colleagues to continue this tradition that began in 1985. We are grateful for his extraordinary contributions and we welcome new researchers to join us at the 13th European Congress of Entomology in Tours, France (July 2026) and the 28th ICE in Cape Town, South Africa (July 2028). Let’s keep this vibrant momentum going!
